The US court of Appeals has supported the Wi-Fi 6 technology for US homes, the decision which was previously taken by the Federal Communications Commission. This has made the technology the biggest upgrade in 20 years that will be available for the US homes.
FDC has approved 1,200 MHz spectrum in the 6GHz band for unlicensed use. Wi-Fi 6 for the US homes will come with additional technologies. The 6 provides faster internet connectivity and has improved speed view and download films, and other such facilities. Wi-Fi 6 will allow connect more devices to the network and enable service providers and enterprises provide new and emerging applications.
Wi-Fi 6 with multiple and new connected devices to the network will keep the devices performing at an optimum level. The WiFi 6 will work at 2.4GHz and 5GHz at 6GHz band. The 6 introduced by the alliance will later introduce Wi-Fi 6E enabling operations in the 6GHz. Additionally it will be supported by 2.4GHz and 5GHz band.
The decision of the court has now removed the regulatory concerns surrounding the use of 6 GHz band. However, AT&T has opposed the court’s decision saying that the court did not address the microwave links that are required to maintain the network infrastructure.
