The latest move of Nvidia of acquiring Bright Computing will enable in-house clustering software for high-performance computing. Bright Computing has developed the Bright Cluster Manager software. The software is designed to control the configuration of clustered HPC systems. The software also controls the configuration of DGX servers and HGX systems.
The clusters of networks have high-speed net connectivity and are interconnected into a single unit. With the new mergers with Nvidia, Bright Computing will get an opportunity to expand its reach and accelerate its market performance. Bright Computing is a small and private firm and its customers include Siemens, Johns Hopkins University, NASA, Boeing, and many other customers from industries like finance, manufacturing, and healthcare.
And with new acquisition of Bright Computing, Nvidia will get an in-house tool to help customers manage hardware. Customers will not need to buy a separate tool to manage the hardware which has been the key objective of for buying. The software of Bright Computing, Bright Cluster Manager will be integrated into Nvidia software capabilities. The Bright Cluster Manager can run on data center and at public as well as private clouds.
The latest version of Bright Cluster Manager software is 9.1 that was launched last year and is being used by multiple customers.
