US President Joe Biden Signs New Legislations

The US President Joe Biden signed a new Legislations the Secure Equipment Act that will prevent Chinese companies like ZTE or Huawei from getting equipment licences from US regulators. The new Secure Equipment Act is unanimously approved by the US senates on October 28 and lately by White House. The act aims to cark down the Chinese telecommunication technology companies and technology firms.

Biden signed the act days before Biden and his Chinese counterpart are going to have virtual summit. The virtual summit is to be held amidst rising tensions over trade, military activities, and human rights. The law states that now the federal communications commission will not review or grant approval to any equipment application that poses national security threat.

US President Joe Biden Signs New LegislationThe top official of FCC Brendan Carr revealed that the FCC since 2018 has approved authorisation for over 3000 equipment applications. The new Legislations will helps FCC to ensure that the equipment application is secure and no insecure equipment licenses will be inserted into communication network of US. In last March, the FCC designated five Chinese companies posing national security threat to America.

Thus the FCC unanimously voted for the new Legislations. The new Secure Equipment Act is unanimously approved by the US senates on October 28 and lately by White House. The act aims to cark down the Chinese telecommunication technology companies and technology firms. However, the US for bringing new Legislations into act has received opposition from various Chinese companies.
